This ballet costume is made in red and pink. The bodice is worked in non-stretch fabric. Red meets pink across the piece. The skirt stacks nine layers of firm tulle. The back closes with a row of hand-worked adjustable hooks. A drawcord hidden at the upper bust edge adjusts the fit. The built-in briefs are finished in fine double mesh. On the center front of the bodice, the design carries gold applique embroidery. Red, green, pink, gold beaded trim marks the neckline. The skirt carries dark red and gold swirl embroidery. Dark red lace trim marks the hem of the skirt. As for the skirt: multiple layers of tulle forming a flat, stiff horizontal disc with a scalloped hem.
