Nine layers of stiff tulle, carried on a built-in hooping, hold the skirt out flat. The back closes with two rows of hand-worked adjustable hooks. A drawcord hidden at the upper bust edge adjusts the fit. Fine double mesh sheathes the briefs underneath. Gold leaf applique with red beaded floral motifs sits at the center front of the bodice. The surface of the skirt repeats the same decoration. The edges of the skirt carry a gold embroidered border.
