The ballet tutu is cut in silver and white in the classical tutu form. The bodice is worked in non-stretch jacquard. Silver meets white across the piece. Nine layers of stiff net over a hoop build the skirt's even line. Hand-finished hook-and-eye tape in two adjustable rows fastens the back. The upper bust hides a drawstring that trims the bodice close to the body. Decorated briefs sheathed in double mesh complete the base. Silver embroidery and applique decorates the bodice front. Black beads decorate the surface of the skirt. As for the skirt: a stiff, flat pancake-shaped skirt with a white tulle underlayer visible at the edge; tulle layers not clearly countable.
This ballerina tutu can be used for roles and variations such as: Black Swan in Swan Lake; Snow Queen in The Nutcracker; Diamond Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty; Paquita; and comparable roles in other classical ballets, for instance Coppelia.
